Join us for a special Shabbat celebrating the Jewish New Year of the trees. We welcome special guest speaker, Rev. Dr. Ambrose Carroll, who serves on the National Environmental Justice Action Committee for the EPA. Rev. Carroll is also the founder of Green the Church, a national organization that catalyzes sustainable practices at the intersection of the environmental movement and the Black Church worldwide. During our Shabbat service, we will also feature special guest, Aviva Symons, Assistant Camp Director of URJ Camp Newman.
We encourage all past, present and future campers of Camp Newman to attend this special Shabbat to celebrate their experiences in nature together as a community.
