As a teacher myself, I had a long list of things we were looking for in a preschool—SIP checks every box. Our family has been part of SIP since the very beginning, with our oldest child in the inaugural class. Over the past two years of the school getting up and running, we've seen many changes, but one thing has remained constant—the love, care, and dedication of the teachers. They truly know our child, supporting him in ways that challenge and help him grow while also respecting his sensitivities and voice.

This school year, our second child joined SIP, and despite being very different from his older sibling, he is also receiving exactly what he needs—encouragement to find his voice, opportunities to follow his interests, and the freedom to be his silly, playful self. The teachers meet each child where they are, and we couldn’t be more grateful.

We also deeply appreciate the instant communication from teachers, the thorough weekly newsletters, and all the ways our boys get to explore—whether it’s time in nature or walking up and down Fillmore Street like the city kids they are. We love the new mud kitchen on campus, where our kids can get messy and creative, as well as the beautiful weekly Jewish traditions like Shabbat and challah making, which add so much warmth and meaning to their experience.

SIP has truly become a home for our family, and we couldn’t be happier to be part of this incredible community!

Admissions

  • Applications are accepted all year.
  • During the school year, full and half-day schedules are available.
  • Preference is given to members of the synagogue (learn more about joining the synagogue here).
  • We operate on a 9-month calendar. One-week sessions are offered in the summer in June, July, and August. Priority is given to currently enrolled families and synagogue members, and then open to the public. This is a great way to try out our school without making a long-term commitment.
