When you join Congregation Sherith Israel you become a full part of our community. So you assume a share of our financial responsibility. We ask members for a fair-share commitment, meaning that you pay according to your ability. Do know that no one ever is denied membership at Sherith Israel for financial reasons.
High Holy Day services
Your membership includes tickets for the High Holy Days. We ask that you pay your pledge in full by August each year to help us process your High Holy Day ticket order.
Synagogue Preservation Fund
In addition to your membership pledge, we ask new members to make a multi-year pledge to our preservation fund. This endowment fund supports the upkeep and maintenance of our historic sanctuary building.
We ask all congregants to participate in our Annual Fund, which supplements our membership commitment to support all of our programming and services.
Everyone is welcome regardless of financial resources
Our executive director will work with you confidentially to determine a comfortable financial commitment for your household. Everyone is welcome.
Membership commitments, synagogue preservation payments and Annual Fund contributions are all fully tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.
