A note from Rabbi Jessica Zimmerman Graf

Positive spirit and incredible generosity--these are among the gifts that have made our synagogue so successful this past year. Donors have played an important role in that success. I encourage you to join me in building our future with a gift to the 2017 Annual Fund.

With the help of congregants and friends like you, Phase II of the seismic retrofit is complete.  It was finished on schedule and on budget. Magalim (Circles of Jewish Life) continues to attract young, vibrant Jews who bring energy, expertise, and new volunteerism to our congregation. Our dynamic cantor, David Frommer, creates excitement, meaning and beautiful music for our worship and our community. Together, we joined in an inspiring Shabbat honoring Rabbi Julie Saxe-Taller and her lasting legacy, including the new Chesed/Caring Committee and our ongoing social justice work.

I invite you to take advantage of the many opportunities for lifelong learning and connection that donations make possible.  Our community-building programs include Shabbat Mishpachah services for families, redesigned Bar/Bat Mitzvah ceremonies, our monthly Jewish book club, and Prime Time Club for those 65 and better. Of course, HaMotzi and Chicken Soupers continue to prepare hundreds of delicious meals for local shelters and others in need weekly or monthly.

As with most congregations, membership dues only cover about 50% of the total cost of running our synagogue’s building, programs and services. Your generosity helps bridge that gap. We couldn’t do it without congregants and friends like you! Please help honor our community’s history and its future with your Annual Fund gift today. Wishing you a healthy, prosperous and fulfilling new year,

Rabbi Jessica Zimmerman Graf, Senior Rabbi
