Blood Drive

10:00 AM - 2:30 PMBart HallBlood donation is essential. According to Vitalant (who runs blood donations in the Bay Area): Amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, patients continue to require blood products for childbirth, cancer treatments, essential medical procedures, and everyday emergencies.
The need for blood is now significantly increasing as previously postponed elective surgeries are rescheduled and shelter-in-place requirements are relaxing across the country. Vitalant needs to collect about 5,000 donations daily to meet the ongoing blood needs of patients, and our blood drive is a crucial component of our lifesaving mission.
We are taking additional safety measures due to COVID-19. Potential donors are encouraged to review Blood Donor Qualifications prior to making an appointment.
Make an Appointment
Fast Track: Donors can complete this health questionnaire online prior to arriving to the drive. The questionnaire must be completed the same day as the donation and a barcode needs to be presented at the drive. This can also be completed at the drive.
Due to social distancing, we are asking that everyone arrive for their appointment on time. The donation process takes about an hour. With social distancing, it might be a little longer. Donors should arrive well hydrated and nourished. Photo ID and face masks are required.
Together, we can fight COVID-19. To discover future convalescent plasma donors, Vitalant is testing all blood donations for antibodies.
