4:00 PM - 6:00 PMJoin congregant and author David Perlstein to discover the role satire plays in unmasking tyranny, and why autocrats fear and attack laughter. David will offer a brief look at satire in the Hebrew Bible then read from two of his novels followed by a short story examining what America might look like if our government banned comedy.
David Perlstein is a novelist and writer of non-fiction based in San Francisco. This event will take place at a private residence. Registration required; address will be provided upon registration.
