Come to our cemetery for an opportunity to participate in the consecration of new burial spaces. Join Rabbis Graf and Altshuler along with Cantorial Soloist Simon Barrad for prayers at 11 am. Followed by a ritual walk according to Jewish tradition, which considers burial grounds sacred spaces.

Congregation Sherith Israel established its cemetery in 1850 as an essential part of the Jewish community in San Francisco. First
located in Pacific Heights and then Dolores Park, it moved in 1889 to its present location in Colma. It has served our synagogue from its inception and is woven into the fabric of our
