In the last three years, Sherith Israel, under the umbrella of Sanctuary, has taken a front line position supporting the rights and well-being of immigrants in our midst.  To take a deep dive into the daunting challenges that face Central American families every day, both Rabbi Jessica and Karen Alschuler each chose to join a delegation exploring the causes of migration in Guatemala and Honduras. They will share the wisdom gained during their travels from interactions with threatened communities and leaders of the resistance, an inspiring movement frequently headed by young female leaders.
