Pre-kindergarten–Grade 5
Sunday School teaches core values through age-level experiences. Each grade includes opportunities for family learning, worship and the arts. Introduction to conversational and written Hebrew is an integral part of each class, focusing on developing a working vocabulary of key Hebrew words.
Grade 6
During first semester, students and parents meet for the first hour with our rabbis for theBar/Bat Mitzvah Family Torah Class. This outstanding program guides families through a tour of the Torah, as well as the traditional mitzvot pertaining to and incumbent upon the child reaching this lifecycle milestone.
Grade 7
Students study Jewish spirituality, the Holocaust and its effect on the Jewish people, and the history and founding of the modern State of Israel.
Grade 8
Students learn to become Madrichim (classroom helpers) through a curriculum including principles of child development, lesson planning (You be the teacher!) and hands-on classroom experience. Their morning includes helping with Tefillah, in-class time with their teacher and an assignment as a Madrich-in-training in a younger class.
