Social Action Shabbat — from Values to Action

7:15:  Light dinner and engage in a Social Action "Beit Midrash"
Leaders of our three primary Social Action projects will teach about the Jewish frameworks that underlie the projects, as well as how you can be involved.

Stacy Passman and Karen Alschuler will teach Jewish sources on advocacy/political work and our interfaith community organizing in partnership with Faith in Action and Reform CA. 

Elizabeth Flaherman will teach about HaMotzi and Chicken Soupers and Jewish perspectives on hunger. 

Janet Parker will teach on Jewish sources on education and our work with the Jewish Coalition for Literacy. 

Dinner: Complimentary for members; $20 for nonmembers. Please RSVP by 9 pm on Wednesday April 19.
