Effective Communication Strategies for Combatting Antisemitism With antisemitism on the rise, the ADL Center for Antisemitism Research (CAR) has undertaken extensive research projects aimed at identifying and developing communication strategies that combat antisemitism. This exclusive briefing is designed for Jewish community leadership, offering a unique opportunity to hear from ADL on the latest findings and receive guidance on data-driven, effective communication strategies for combatting antisemitism. Now more than ever, the Jewish community must be proactive in speaking out against antisemitism. Hebrew 101- gain knowledge of the AlephBet and Nikkud system in context of the Siddur. At the end of this class, students will be able to read and pronounce excerpts from the prayerbook. There will also be some basic vocabulary and introduction to Hebrew grammar. No Previous knowledge required.

Join our Hebrew learner community as we dive into decoding the language behind the prayers & blessings of the Siddur. Learn essential vocabulary and Hebrew grammar basics to better understand and explore new meanings behind our ancient texts. In person attendance encouraged; Zoom option available if need be.

Join us next Friday for our Democracy and Social Justice Shabbat, with special guest speaker, San Francisco City Attorney David Chiu. Attorney Chiu will discuss his efforts defending civil rights and upholding democratic values during the Trump administration’s first 100 days in office. Attorney Chiu and his team have filed multiple briefs and signed onto several lawsuits opposing Trump’s executive orders that encroach upon the freedoms and liberties of San Francisco’s marginalized communities. We will come together after the service for a community Oneg. Kabbalat Shabbat service led by Rabbi Jessica Zimmerman Graf, cantorial soloist Simon Barrad and music director Jonathan Dimmock.
