Sherith Israel is traveling to Arizona to participate in an experiential learning opportunity to explore the difficulties of migration, life on the U.S./Mexico border and continue the fight for migrant justice. While we are at Borderlinks.org we will study the issues and hear stories from immigrants who have crossed the border. We will hike the trails used by immigrants, learn how NAFTA and the maquiladoras impacted lives on both sides of the border. There will be opportunities to meet people in their homes while sharing meals and hearing stories.

Participants need to arrive in Tucson for the program by 8PM on Sunday evening. 
We will leave on Friday morning to return to San Francisco before Shabbat.

Accommodations are dormitory style and we will be taking short hikes into the dessert. Please take your own mobility into account when considering this trip.

The total cost (apart from travel) is $800.
