6 pm: Kabbalat Shabbat Service led by Rabbi Jessica Zimmerman Graf, Rabbi George Altshuler, cantorial soloist Simon Barrad and accompanist Kseniia Polstiankina Barrad. Simon will debut a new composition to celebrate the words and musicality of the shofar calls featuring guest trumpet and shofar player Aaron Kahn and pianist Ronny Michael Greenberg. Service streams on YouTube. 7:15 pm: Oneg for HaMotzi: Join us as we mark a transition of leadership for HaMotzi/Chicken Soupers. Celebrate the origins of the programs and the hard work and dedication of Nancy Sheftel Gomes as she passes the baton onto Valerie Jahan, Stacy Passman, Sharon Wasserman and Karen Zelmar. They will share responsibility to continue our mission to feed the hungry by coordinating volunteers, directing donations and producing meals for the years ahead.
