Join us for a special screening of Last Flight Home, the inspiring story of entrepreneur Eli Timoner, the founder of Air Florida, as he navigates his end-of-life journey through the eyes of his family, including his daughters Ondi Timoner, the director of the film, and Rachel Timoner, a Rabbi in Brooklyn. We learn about Eli's life and his decision, suffering from several terminal conditions, to end his life on his own terms through California's End of Life Option Act. Called "a moving and boundlessly humane documentary" by the New York Times, the film won Best Documentary Feature at the Dallas and Woodstock film festivals.
Following the film, we will be joined by Mark Greenberg, Executive Director of End of Life Choices California, a non-profit organization providing information and support across the state about your end-of-life options. He will discuss the Jewish perspective(s) regarding Medical Aid in Dying and provide additional information about your end-of-life rights.
