12:00 PM - 2:00 PMFred Finkelstein presents Leaving Memel Friday, May 10, noon-2 pm Leaving Memel is a film based on the life events of Cherie Goren and her family, who were forced to leave their home in Memel, now Klaipeda, Lithuania, when the Nazis took over the country in 1941. The film has enjoyed worldwide circulation, by describing how this family survived during one of civilization’s most horrible periods. Producer Fred Finkelstein will be present to discuss the film, put the events in their historical context, and answer any questions you may have.
Prime Time Club is a monthly gathering with lunch and interesting guest speakers for congregants and guests 65 (or getting there) and older.
$10 lunch fee; presentation only, free.
