The Social Action Committee invites you to participate in HIAS’ Sixth Annual Refugee Shabbat. We have a long history of solidarity with HIAS’ global Jewish movement to protect and welcome refugees from all over the world.

As the first Sanctuary synagogue in San Francisco, Sherith Israel takes this mission seriously. Four speakers, both refugees and welcomers, will inspire us to reaffirm and redouble our support for refugees, asylum seekers, and the forcibly displaced. Please join this opportunity to review the work we have already done and to prepare for a challenging yet rewarding future. Following the service, SAC will host a special Oneg.
