About Cantor Jamie Marx

A composer and songwriter, Cantor Marx has written, recorded, or published numerous pieces, including two albums of Jewish rock (In Pursuit and Restless Heart), three singles, and various settings of Jewish liturgical texts. His setting of “Yih'yu L'ratzon” was chosen from among more than 400 entries for inclusion in Shabbat Anthology Vol. 8, published by Transcontinental Music Publications. Cantor Marx also writes Purim spiels that have been performed in more than 130 synagogues across North America and the United Kingdom.
