George Altshuler (he/him) is a rabbinical student at The Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion in New York. George is from San Francisco, grew up going to Sherith Israel and is the son of Fred Altshuler and Julie Cheever and brother of Norma Altshuler.  He is married to Kate Bass. He graduated from Middlebury College in Vermont in 2011. Prior to rabbinical school, George worked as a journalist and a teacher in San Francisco, Haiti and Washington, DC. He is now serving as the student rabbi of Temple Beth HaSholom in Williamsport, PA.
