Walk of Remembrance
Wednesday, June 12, 2024 • 6 Sivan 5784
6:00 PM - 7:00 PMCPMC Pacific Heights Outpatient CenterAlthough the ancient archetypal labyrinth is generally associated with churches and cathedrals, there is no reason it cannot be used for Jewish ritual as well. Only a few blocks from Sherith Israel, the nation’s first labyrinth at a medical facility awaits us. We will gather at CPMC Pacific Heights Outpatient Center (2333 Buchanan Street and Clay Street) at the outdoor labyrinth. After a brief introduction, we will have the opportunity for a group walk on the labyrinth. Labyrinths provide an opportunity for contemplative meditation. The quiet, circular movement is a wonderful way to remember and honor those we have lost. Facilitated by Susan Borkin, an advanced labyrinth facilitator and trainer, and Rabbi Jessica Zimmerman Graf.
