Sukkah Outside the Box: This is our first Big Jewish Fun event of the year. This Sukkot carnival​ is led by our Assistant Principal, Natalie Weizman, with Sherith Israel Temple Youth (SITY) youth group. Pizza + Social Action + Games + Friends = #Bigjewishfun.

Join the clergy and fellow CSI-ers for a lively urban outdoor Erev Sukkot party. We’ll build a sukkah, eat and party after a brief Erev Sukkot Service. Surprise location and details to be announced via email.

The 2005 Israeli film “Ushpizin” is groundbreaking on more than one count. A rare collaboration between secular and ultra-Orthodox Israelis and one of the first movies filmed in Jerusalem’s Mea Shearim with ultra-Orthodox actors, it is a warmhearted story of marriage among Hasidic Jews. The film focuses on a childless couple without the means to celebrate Sukkot. After much prayer they receive an unexpected gift of money … and then unexpected guests. Dinner $15 per person. Come shake the lulav and smell the etrog during our Sukkot services. A freilich harvest oneg follows with noshing and dancing. Please bring canned foods to benefit the JFCS pantry for distribution to people in need.
