Once a month on a Sunday morning, volunteers staff our Newman Hall kitchen to prepare and cook several days’ worth of meals for homebound seniors and people with disabilities or chronic illnesses. A short visit with the person receiving the meals makes this activity personal and rewarding. This program is a cooperative effort with Jewish Family and Children’s Services. Participants learn to read and pronounce the letters of the Hebrew alef-bet, as well as gain familiarity with the prayerbook, basic blessings and core parts of the liturgy. No prior knowledge required. Taught by Noa Levy.

Join us for pizza, games, songs, lighting of the candles and community building. The $10 charge is per family, not the individual.

Service led by Rabbi Jessica Zimmerman Graf, Rabbi George Altshuler and cantorial soloist Noa Levy with Koleynu Choir and pianist Art Khu.
