Join the greater SF Jewish community for learning, candle lighting, songs, and nosh.

Although the ancient archetypal labyrinth is generally associated with churches and cathedrals, there is no reason it cannot be used for Jewish ritual as well. Only a few blocks from Sherith Israel, the nation’s first labyrinth at a medical facility awaits us. We will gather at CPMC Pacific Heights Outpatient Center (2333 Buchanan Street and Clay Street) at the outdoor labyrinth. After a brief introduction we will have the opportunity for a group walk on the labyrinth. Labyrinths provide an opportunity for contemplative meditation. The quiet, circular movement is a wonderful way to remember and honor those we have lost. Facilitated by Susan Borkin, an advanced labyrinth facilitator and trainer and Rabbi Graf.

Join us as we say farewell to our friend and mentor, Jonathan Emanuel. Serving as Sherith Israel's Youth and Education Director for the last two years, Jonathan has been a staple here in the community, providing a sacred space for our families to come together to learn, celebrate, and cultivate our Jewish traditions.
