Studio @ Sherith Israel builds students' Hebrew skills, familiarity with Jewish practice and ideas, and social-emotional capabilities through fun projects and multi-sensory activities. We take a playful, student-centered approach to teaching, encouraging students to ask questions, express themselves authentically, and help shape their own learning.

Join the JFCS Holocaust Center and greater Bay Area community for Holocaust Remembrance Day and come together for a virtual reading of the names, commemoration, and community yizkor service.

Participants learn to read and pronounce the letters of the Hebrew alef-bet, as well as gain familiarity with the prayerbook, basic blessings and core parts of the liturgy. No prior knowledge required. Taught by Fred Nervo.
